Aurora Beeches School in Cranborne, Dorset, has received an Ofsted ‘Good’ grading.
Headteacher Adele Henson said: “We're thrilled with the results of our inspection and that we’ve maintained our Good grading. Ofsted highlighted our commitment to treating each student with care and respect, noting that “staff treat everyone as an individual” and that “staff help deepen their reading, writing, mathematics and science knowledge.” Not to mention that “pupils benefit from the wide-ranging sports facilities and expansive grounds” and that “many enjoy board games, including chess, or clubs such as art and craft or music.
“We're very proud of this achievement and grateful to our dedicated staff, supportive parents and carers, and amazing pupils for making Aurora Beeches School the community it is.”
Ofsted inspectors also noted: “Pupils benefit from impartial careers advice. They are well prepared for their next stage of education or employment. Most pupils move on to their first choice college placements. There are many strands to the school's work to develop pupils personally. The school’s personal, social, health and economic (PSHE) education and relationships sex and health education curriculums include everything they should. Pupils learn a lot about fundamental British values, law, equalities, different faiths, keeping safe and managing finances.”

Staff at the school are rightly very proud of this result, as Ofsted’s Director of Education, Chris Russell, has said the new inspection framework is more “challenging.”
Aurora Beeches offers a specialist academic and therapeutic provision in a peaceful, rural setting, for young people aged 11-16 with additional social, emotional and mental health needs.
