Exam Results 2019 - 2020
1 student gained a grade 9 Physics i-GCSE and a GCSE chemistry Grade 7, and English Lit GCSE Grade 7. He also achieved an A level in advanced Maths A*. (Pupil had previously been out of school for 3 years, gained English Language Grade 7 last year and Maths GCSE Grade 9 last year).

- 4 students passed English functional skills level 1.
- 1 student gained an English Literature Grade 7 GCSE.

Gracie Myers
Gracie arrived at Hanley at the start of the academic year having struggled with anxiety in mainstream education. A keen singer, she’s planning to go to college and hopes to have a career in art or music but is also considering working with animals.
“I didn’t fit in at my old school. I felt they didn’t understand me so it’s made a huge difference to me coming here and I’m much happier,” she says. “The staff are supportive, the classes are smaller and there’s no uniform. I especially like Feel Good Fridays when we get the chance to do fun activities and go on outside visits. I’m a metal fan and I get the chance to express myself here.”
