Our Curriculum

Our curriculum combines academic learning with a strong focus on personal development. We emphasise:

  • Hands-on, practical learning and learning through experience
  • Emotional literacy, self-regulation and understanding individual needs
  • Personalised pathways aligned to each pupil’s strengths, interests and aspirations
  • Preparation for adulthood, including communication, independence and decision-making

Supporting Learning

We take a proactive, evidence-informed approach to understanding and responding to behaviour, alongside supporting pupils’ emotional wellbeing.

Our approach includes individualised support plans tailored to each pupil, Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) strategies and consistent, predictable routines that help pupils feel secure and ready to learn.

Our practice is increasingly trauma-informed, recognising the importance of helping pupils feel safe, understood and supported in their learning environment. Staff receive ongoing training to ensure they can respond effectively and consistently to each pupil’s needs.
