This World Book Day, our Aurora schools were buzzing with creativity, imagination, and, of course, books! Pupils and staff brought their favourite stories to life, dressing up as beloved characters and sharing the books that inspire them every day. From magical worlds to exciting adventures, our corridors were filled with the joy of reading.

The way in which Aurora Hedgeway School near Bristol caters for its pupils’ wider development is “exceptional”, according to a report by education watchdog Ofsted.

This week is National Children’s Gardening Week, a nationwide initiative that aims to inspire children’s curiosity, connect with nature and experience the joy of gardening.

This academic year, Aurora Hedgeway School in Bristol started an exciting new initiative by launching their Hedgehog Friendly Campus project! The project is part of a UK-wide effort to tackle the decline in hedgehog populations and protect our native wildlife.

Aurora Hedgeway School has proudly received the Modeshift Stars Education Travel Plan Award, recognising commitment to promoting sustainable travel. This accolade highlights the school's efforts to reduce its carbon footprint and encourage environmentally friendly commuting. 

Following on form the internal heats, FutureChef finalists from Aurora Foxes, Boveridge College and Hedgeway attended the first ever Aurora FutureChef Grand Final on 23 February at the Grove Kitchen and Restaurant at Weston College, Weston-super-Mare.
