Aurora Foxes

Our latest video in our Day in the Life series is out now!

Come with us on a day in Independent Living Skills with second year student, Rosie. We start the day following morning routines, and then begin our session with Gabrielle. The group work together to plan a trip using local transport, checking bus times, weather, and budgeting for personal shopping. They then venture out in the community, practising their road safety skills and complete their shopping for the week, before boarding the bus to Watchet. It was a very chilly day so all the students were wrapped up warm for a brisk walk along Watchet's esplanade, before heading to the Marina Cafe for lunch and milkshakes. The group then head back to Minehead, where they warm up and complete their session by organising their receipts on their budgeting sheets and completing their worksheets that allow them to reflect on what they have learnt and which skills they have used.

We look forward to sharing the next video in the series with you soon!
